What we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we save the name, contact details and trip information you choose to provide. Please do not include passport numbers, payment card details or medical records.

How it is used

We use these details to respond to your request and discuss travel planning. Enquiries are stored on our hosting account and can be accessed by the site administrator. They are not automatically subscribed to a marketing list.

Article comments

Comments require a display name and message, without an email address. We store submissions for moderation; only approved comments and author replies are public, across both language versions of the article. Keep personal contact details out of your comment. To reduce spam, we use session cookies, form checks and hashed rate-limit identifiers that expire within a day and are cleared during subsequent requests. The comments database does not store your raw IP address. Hosting security logs may be handled separately by our hosting provider.

When newsletter signup is enabled, we store your email address, language, consent date and subscription status in our private hosting database. We send a confirmation email and only add confirmed subscriptions to the mailing list. You can unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter or ask us to delete your details through the contact form. We use form checks and short-lived hashed rate-limit identifiers to reduce spam. Enquiries and comments are never added to this list automatically.

Cookies and external services

Essential cookies protect forms, manage administrator sessions and remember your language choice. This site does not include advertising trackers. Optional videos connect to YouTube or Vimeo only when you choose to load them; those providers then apply their own privacy policies.

Use our contact form to ask about, correct or request deletion of information you have submitted. Include your enquiry reference when available.
